Walking with our arms locked in the middle of the night
A quiet ritual of meeting between her and I
An open field reflecting the broad moon in poetic waves across the summer grasses
Holding our crimson lantern to the open starlit sky
Our dance, our song, purposed only for whispering romance back in our lives
As the flame fills the fragile paper shell with expanding life
Her voice smoothly pours like scotch over ice “I made us a wish”
Standing as one our dreams carried away far beyond our eye
For a moment we stand holding hands in the quiet of our drifting light
Wrapped in heaven and compassionate hold
We share a perfect kiss under our wished upon
Perfect sky

I am blessed to be able to read the beautiful words of such great writers on various platforms and I am so… thankful for this fact… Especially when I read things like this:
“Our dance, our song, purposed only for whispering romance back in our lives
As the flame fills the fragile paper shell with expanding life
Her voice smoothly pours like scotch over ice “I made us a wish””
Please keep writing, Alisa. I will keep reading. Others will too. And, that’s a definite fact!
